WHAT’S NEW WITH ABHT

There has been a lot going on in the last two months here at our agency. We celebrated Monica’s 6 year anniversary with our agency and we have a new addition to the Anywhere But Here Travel’s Mascot team. Please welcome little Abby to the team and maybe you will see more of her later. We had to include all the mascots above who just got pretty for Halloween.

We have continued with our Virtual Vacations but now we are hosting more that are exclusive to our travel agency. Last year, we hosted several Travel Nights where we focused on a specific destination or product line. We invited our clients to join us at our office for some nibbles and hear an informative presentation. Since it is still difficult to meet in person, we have shifted and are now doing them virtual via Zoom. There is a list of our recorded presentations in case you missed any plus some upcoming ones like our Italian Cooking Class and Polar Expedition Night. 

We are all back in the office starting in October but we are keeping our reduced phone/office hours for another month or so. It just depends on how many calls come in after hours. This time of year is our “normal” slow period but like we mentioned before, the phones are ringing again. We still are getting some pretty strange requests (which will make for a great blog post someday) but we are also getting new clients and booking travel. That makes us very happy! 

Finally, our biggest news is that we all (minus Cara) took a trip to Mexico and we just came back last week! We had booked this trip around a travel conference back in May which obviously got cancelled so we decided to move it to Oct and make it a work/vacation trip. It wasn’t a typical work trip where we go and see a dozen different hotels in 3 days. Instead, we stayed at two resorts and spend a day at a third resort. We also went on several tours/excursions that we had never been on but have recommended to our clients. Now we have first hand experience with them and also a new appreciation for with anyone with a mobility issue. Our CEO sprained her right ankle just before we left and sprained her left knee just before we came home. She is fine now, but it was eye opening to see how difficult to do certain things and how helpful some companies were to work with. We definitely have lots of blog posts to share later. For now, we will share some photos below and links to our live videos we shared while we were traveling.

Here are our most recent additions to our website. There isn’t much that is new but we did add one new Travel Package that you definitely want to check out. The Travel Gals are going on this trip and you will want to join us. We bring the fun times anywhere we go!

What is the difference between a sample itinerary and travel package?

Sample itineraries generally have no pricing and are meant to give a general idea of what you can do and see at a particular destination. Often, these are itineraries we have planned for past clients and have removed all the personal details.

A travel package will often come with a starting price and it generally has a set date or range of dates to travel. The travel package itinerary is already pre-planned and sometimes you will travel with a small group of like-minded travelers. However, many of these packages can be customized for your own personal travel needs. 

EVENT CALENDAR

We have been hosting free, fun & informative destination themed travel nights for the past year. Most of them are at our office in Lynnwood but we are also experimenting with other locations as well. We have some nibbles, wine and bubbly water while we share some information about specific destinations. However, we have had to switch gears due to social gathering restrictions and are now offering Virtual Vacations instead! Most are co-hosted with other Travel Advisors and our trusted Travel Partners however, we have a few that we are planning exclusively for our clients. 

We would love for you to join us or share these events with someone who you think would be interested in attending. Please RSVP and bring a friend! All of these events can be found on the Event Calendar on our website too. It is required that you RSVP so we can share the presentation link with you. It is often a personal link that only one person can use.
