How to Pack for a Cold, Windy Destination

Packing for travel to a cold, windy destination can be a challenge, especially if you’re catching a flight and trying to avoid checked baggage fees. However, a little advance planning goes a long way, and with the right strategy, you should be able to bring everything you need with you.

Layers are your best bet, so start off with moisture-wicking base layers that suit your weather and activity. Fabrics like Merino wool will keep you warm but not sweaty, and a snug fit will do the job best. Then add middle insulating layers, like a fleece or thin puffer and fleece tights. Wear your boots and coat on the plane, and keep your gloves or mittens in your pockets to save space in your luggage. And finally, be sure to have a windproof and waterproof shell — both as a jacket and pants — if your destination warrants it.

Nice blog, Yeah that’s how I feel. Especially when you’re travelling full time as well. Every day you see new things and have new experiences you want to write about it’s really difficult to keep up! I love it too though – wouldn’t have it any other way 🙂
