The frequent travels I enjoyed growing up were normal to me. It was only as an adult I found out that most people didn’t share that experience!

When I was 6 or 7 years old, my grandparents moved to Hawaii. I ended up visiting them every summer until I was in my early teens. The first time I went, my mom escorted me but the times after that, I traveled alone. Those were the days when my parents could drop me off at the gate and hand me off to a flight attendant and my grandparents were there to greet me when the plane landed. I had a great time on the plane and made friends with the crew and even got to go in the cockpit to meet the pilots. It set the foundation for my love of travel and Hawaii.

I’ve been with Anywhere But Here Travel from 2014 and continue to travel on a regular basis (for research and for the joy of it).
