5 Countries Perfect for Your Honeymoon

Your honeymoon is probably the most important getaway of your life, so you really want to make sure your hard-earned money is going on the best holiday ever – and we mean, ever.

When it comes to honeymoon destinations, it can feel like the list is endless. While it does sometimes depend on personal tastes and what kind of itinerary you’re after, there are some places which cover all bases and never go out of style.

We’ve rounded up the five countries perfect for honeymooning – so all you need to do is pick your favourite, prepare the travel essentials, and jet off with your significant other!

Caribbean

1. The Caribbean

A true classic, there are too many countries to pick from here, so we’ve included them all. Who can resist the tempting call of white sandy beaches and clear turquoise waters? Not many of us, that’s for sure.

The Caribbean is a collective of islands, all of which have plenty in common; they’re hot all-year-round, they’re great for relaxing, and they’re home to many, many all-inclusive resorts. This is perfect for honeymooners who don’t want to worry about anything from the minute they set foot off the plane, apart from kicking back on a sun lounger and enjoying each other’s company for a couple of weeks.

2. France

Mainly to visit the City of Love itself, Paris. This is a hot-spot for honeymooners, especially in the warmer months.

The romantic city calls out to millions of tourists every year, and with sights such as the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, and the River Seine, who can blame them for answering? Don’t forget all the fine dining and unbeatable champagne, too.

Greece

3. Greek Islands

Situated in a volcanic caldera, Santorini offers stunning views, white-washed little houses and chapels, and lovely blue water for as far as the eye can see. Most hotels are small and intimate, with many offering private hot tubs outside. So you can pop open a bottle of fizz and watch the sunset in your own little haven, followed by dinner – usually on the cliffside somewhere.

Venice

4. Italy

Home to pizza, pasta, and (more importantly) the language of love, Italy has a whole host of romantic cities just waiting to be explored.

Head to Rome or Florence for a more historical, sightseeing oriented honeymoon, (with plenty of wine and food in-between, of course). Or, Venice, to explore the city and its infamous canals, stopping off to people-watch before heading back to your romantic hotel for the night.

Maldives

5. The Maldives

Saving one of the best until last, The Maldives may just be one of the romantic destinations on Earth.

Consisting of over 1,000 tiny islands, many only accessible via boat, The Maldives is a favourite among honeymooners as its peaceful, relaxing and hot for most of the year. Its tropical climate, clear waters, and stunning beaches make for amazing photos, and what could be more enjoyable than staying in your own private water villa. Imagine, stepping out each morning to admire the view, and indulging in a romantic dinner on the beach come sunset?

This design is wicked! You certainly know how to keep a reader amused. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Great job. I really enjoyed what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it. Too cool!

Hi! Quick question that’s totally off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My site looks weird when viewing from my apple iphone. I’m trying to find a template or plugin that might be able to correct this problem. If you have any suggestions, please share. Appreciate it!
