8 Days / 7 Nights – Venice to Florence
(with optional post tour to Tuscany)
This tour was put together several years ago and we either plan for mid-April or mid-Oct for our departure dates. We found that these are some of the best times to visit Italy where the weather is still pleasant and it is not super crowded. It also gives us the best pricing so we can pass along the savings to you.
Please keep in mind that the price of this tour changes depending on how many confirmed people go. We never have more than 16 people on our tours so that we can provide the best personal service to you. Our CEO and Italy lover escorts this tour so you always have a travel expert at your disposal.
Departure Day – USA
Depart from Seattle, WA (or other US Destination). Flight must be booked separately and is not included in our pricing below.
Day 1 – Venice, Italy (D)
Upon arrival at Venice airport, meet your local assistant and transfer to your hotel in Venice. Enjoy a 2-hour guided walking tour of Venice to include Doge’s Palace and St. Mark’s Basilica. Welcome dinner at local restaurant and overnight in Venice. (Hotel Saturnia or similar)
Day 2 – Venice, Italy (B, D)
After breakfast at your hotel, board your private taxi boat and transfer to Tronchetto. Tronchetto is an artificial island set up to assist in transporting people from the island to mainland. Board your private coach and transfer to the “Prosecco region” to enjoy a prosecco wine tour. In the afternoon, we will prepare a 3-course meal and enjoy our creation for dinner. Overnight in Venice. (Hotel Saturnia or similar)
Day 3 – San Gimignano, Italy (B, D)
After breakfast at your hotel, board your private taxi boat and transfer to Tronchetto. Board your private coach and transfer to San Gimignano. Dinner at the hotel’s restaurant and overnight in San Gimignano. (Hotel Villa San Paolo or similar)
Day 4 – San Gimignano, Italy (B)
Breakfast at your hotel and then depart for a chocolate making class. Free time in the afternoon. Dinner on your own and overnight in San Gimignano. (Hotel Villa San Paolo or similar)
Day 5 – San Gimignano, Italy (B, L)
Breakfast at your hotel. Afterward, we will begin our typical Tuscan cooking class, followed by lunch created by us! Free time in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight in San Gimignano. (Hotel Villa San Paolo or similar)
Day 6 – Florence, Italy (B)
After breakfast and checking out of your hotel, board your private coach and transfer to Florence. Enjoy a 3-hour guided walking tour of Florence, including the Accademia where The Statue of David is housed. Overnight in Florence. (Hotel Adler Cavalieri or similar)
Day 7 – Florence, Italy (B, D)
Breakfast in your hotel. Enjoy the morning at your leisure. In the afternoon, enjoy a mini-cooking lesson followed by a farewell dinner. Overnight in Florence. (Hotel Adler Cavalieri or similar)
Day 8 – Depart to USA or Continue with Post Tour (B)
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. End of services.

Day 1 – Tuscany, Italy (D)
After breakfast (included in the main tour on "Day 8 – Depart to USA or Continue with Post Tour" above), transfer to rental car facility and obtain rental car (cost is separate from tour). Drive to Perugia area to meet your hosts for the next 3 days, Milena and Klaas. Upon arrival, you will check-in to your room and settle in before joining your hosts for a typical Italian dinner. Overnight in Tuscany. (Pietrafitta - Vacanza Casa - Agriturismo/Vacation House)
Day 2 – Tuscany, Italy (B, L)
After breakfast, you will begin your drive and tour of the surrounding area with your host. You will visit the following areas:
- Visit to Mugnano (small village with the affrescos)
- Visit to the Natural park of San Savino “Oasi La Valle”
- Visit to the Fish Museum in San Feliciano
- Lunch at the restaurant “da Settimio” (specialties fish of the lake)
- In the afternoon visit to Monte del Lago to a unique olive oil mill with olive oil tasting
After this full day of touring, you will return to your accommodation for a little rest and then you may choose to make your own meal or enjoy dinner at one of the restaurants nearby. Overnight in Tuscany. (Pietrafitta - Vacanza Casa - Agriturismo/Vacation House)
Day 3 – Tuscany, Italy (B, L, D)
You have another big day ahead of you filled with history, culture fun and food! After breakfast, you will visit the following areas:
- Visit to the Glass Museum in Piegaro
- Visit to the wine cellar Riccioni with wine tasting
- Lunch in Paciano, restaurant “La Loggetta”
In the afternoon, visit the village with Claudio of the Antico Sipario. Dinner at Ristorante Il Tempo. Overnight in Tuscany. (Pietrafitta - Vacanza Casa - Agriturismo/Vacation House)
Day 4 – Depart for USA
We suggest that you return to the USA from Rome or another city that will allow for an easy car-rental return. We would be happy to extend your stay in Rome or speak with your travel consultant for the best option.
