DAY 1: Depart USA
Make your way to Los Angeles Airport for your overnight flight to Brisbane. If you require a connecting flight from another US gateway, please let us know and we can price your airfare accordingly.
DAY 2: International Date Line
During your flight, you will cross the International Date Line.
DAY 3: Arrive Brisbane
After you clear Immigration & Customs collect your luggage and make your way to the Arrivals Hall and locate your to the meeting point for your shuttle transfer to your hotel for a 3-night stay.
After arriving in Brisbane, you’ll have the remainder of the day to yourself to relax and explore the city at your leisure.
DAY 4: Brisbane
Take a leisurely river cruise from Brisbane to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary to get up-close to native Australian wildlife. This half-day tour departs from Southbank and cruises along the Brisbane River with views of iconic landmarks on the way to Lone Pine. Upon arrival, enjoy ample time to hand-feed kangaroos and emus, experience an authentic Australian sheep dog show or view the shy platypus.
DAY 5: Brisbane
Transfer to the Port of Brisbane and cruise the Brisbane to Moreton Bay Marine Park where you can spot dolphins, fish, sometimes whales, dugong, and turtles. Travel with your guide by 4WD across Moreton Island National Park to the eastern surf beach of Moreton Island for a 6-mile beach drive - spotting sea eagle, hawks, pelicans, and oyster catchers with your local guide giving stories both old and new. At the Blue Lagoon, join a short coastal forest walk to the sand filtered fresh waters (window lake) where you can relax, swim, photo, or snorkel. After a picnic lunch, drive to aboriginal midden site and ancient fish trap and on to wild Cape Moreton Lighthouse and breathtaking views to Flinder's Reef. Travel to Tangalooma Shipwrecks for beach walk, photos, and afternoon sunset, before returning to Brisbane by sea ferry.
DAY 6: Brisbane to Cairns
Transfer by shuttle from your hotel to Brisbane Airport for your flight to Cairns. On arrival, make your way to the transfer desk for your shuttle to your hotel for a 4-night stay. The remainder of your day is free to relax or explore the city at your leisure.
DAY 7: Great Barrier Reef
Discover the Great Barrier Reef for a full-day experience to Upolu Cay and the Reef. Ocean Freedom is the only boat in Cairns offering a full six hours on the reef, meaning there’s absolutely no rush in the day. You get to enjoy all the complimentary water activities, whilst still having time to relax and enjoy a long lazy lunch. Experience an adventure drift snorkel tour with our attentive crew and jump on board for an informative glass bottom boat tour.
DAY 8: Kuranda
Today, transfer to Freshwater Rail Station and board the Kuranda Scenic Railway for a breathtaking journey on one of the world's most scenic train routes. The journey will take you through hand-hewn tunnels and across bridges with amazing views, stopping at Barron Gorge to view the Falls before arriving at beautiful Kuranda station. Your Kuranda Boarding Pass offers discounted entry into Birdworld, Kuranda Koala Gardens, The Australian Butterfly Sanctuary and Rainforestation as well as a detailed map of Kuranda - the Village in the Rainforest. At the scheduled time, bypass the ticketing lines and go directly to the Skyrail boarding area, to board Skyrail for the world's most beautiful rainforest experience. Glide over and through the Rainforest canopy and take advantage of the two stops enroute to enjoy a walk through the rainforest or visit the CSIRO Interpretive Centre. Return to Cairns mid-afternoon.
Day 9: Cairns
A free day to explore the Cairns region at your leisure. Talk to our Destination Experts about adding other touring options to your vacation including a trip to Daintree Rainforest, take a food tasting tour on the Tablelands or perhaps just sit by the pool and relax.
Day 10: Cairns to Sydney
Transfer to Cairns Airport for your flight to Sydney. On arrival, make your way to the shuttle departure point for your transfer to you hotel for a 4-night stay. The remainder of your day is free to relax and explore the city center.
Day 11: Sydney Harbour Cruise
A free morning before joining the ultimate Sydney Harbour sightseeing cruise to discover and experience Sydney Harbour and its secluded beaches. Your 3-hour cruise includes full commentary as well as an Aussie style BBQ buffet lunch. After lunch you will have the opportunity to disembark at one of Sydney Harbour's secluded National Park beaches for a walk or to enjoy a swim with views of Sydney Opera House and the harbour bridge.
Day 12: Sydney Opera House
Today, visit the Sydney Opera House for an amazing tour and dining experience. Step inside and discover the extraordinary stories of the Opera House then relax by the harbour as you enjoy lunch at Opera Kitchen. Your passionate guide will take you inside theatres and foyers which are otherwise off limits, and let you in on some insider secrets.
Day 13: Sydney
Today is free to explore Sydney at your leisure. Talk to our Destination Experts about various touring options in and around Sydney. Climb Sydney Harbour Bridge, take a guided walking tour, explore gardens and museums or catch up on some shopping. Explore the Blue Mountains and go wine tasting in the Hunter Valley. Learn to surf on Bondi Beach or meet local wildlife at Taronga Zoo.
