Travel Agent Reviewed Luggage Brands
So, you might be surprised how often I get asked about luggage or baggage that is suitable for travel. What might work for me, might not work for you. There are so many options out there, and the best selection will depend on how frequently you travel or where you are going. That said, here are some of my favorite bags.
For The Travel Obsessed
Travelpro is your go-to brand. This is the brand that most pilots and flight attendants use. It’s also a favorite of business travels. It is pretty affordable, considering and has durability in the bag. No pun intended. Okay, so that’s a lie. Pun intended. They don’t have a ton of bells and whistles like some of the new bags that are making a rise in popularity, but they get the job done and hold up to the abuse. You can get the three piece set shown above or you can buy this carry on size that I adore.
For The Ladies
Tumi is a great option for those who want to be fashion forward. Styles are made from lightweight-yet-durable fabrics with elegant leather trim. They have a TON of styles. From crossbody to 4-wheel carry-ons, there are options for DAYS! Plus, the colors are fun and they even have some with really cute patterns. I really like this cute compact carry on and this laptop tote bag.
For Weekend Trips
Everyone needs a great duffel. This is one of my favorite types of travel bags, so I’m giving you THREE super functional options.
- Herschel Supply Co. Novel Duffel Bag — They are amazing and have the CUTEST seasonal patterns!
- Sole Society Mason Weekender — A great low-cost option in several fun colors. There is also this great Vegan Leather Candice Weekender I recommend as well.
- Duluth Trading Co. Travel Duffel — The old-fashioned, nostalgic, extra large go-to men’s bag.
For Multi-Functional Trips
Eagle Creek has a great bag that is just plain cool! It converts from one bag to two with just a quick zip. It is weather and abrasion resistant, as well as super lightweight. This is the kind of bag you take with you when you know that you’re coming home with more than you left with. It is also a great bag for the adventurer and ideal for backpacking! Check it out.
For The Tried, True & Reliable
I couldn’t write about luggage and not mention Samsonite. They’re a staple travel brand, and for good reason. They have a TON of options – fair pricing, fun colors, and multiple styles. I love the spinner, which is a bag with 4 wheels for upright wheeling. My all-time favorite of theirs is actually the hardcase spinner because it can really withstand the beating given by luggage handlers. Although there isn’t an outside pocket to store anything, if you’re checking your bag, you don’t need it.
So, you’ve got quite a few options to choose from! Which bag suits your travel style? I’d love to hear it. Do you have a brand that you LOVE that I didn’t mention? I’d love to hear about that too.
And as always, travel happy and travel well!
