WHAT’S NEW WITH ABHT

Last month we were busy planning amazing vacations, incentive trips, honeymoons and destination weddings for our clients. Here are just a few examples of what we have been working on…

This may be a slower time of year for us to plan amazing vacations but we keep busy by traveling to exciting new destinations or getting updates on ones we already know. We do this in a variety of ways.

One way is that we are invited to travel events where we attend a lunch or dinner presentation about a certain destination or supplier/partner. Last month, we attended events about Australia, Mexico (all areas), a new supplier, Hawaii, Mexico (Riviera Maya), and New Zealand. We also attended our favorite travel tradeshow in Kirkland, WA where we met with more partners, suppliers and fellow travel agents over a 2-day period.

Another way for us to get our training is by traveling to destinations to further our education and knowledge so we can come home and pass it along to you. Last month, our agents traveled to Italy, India, Washington State on the Columbia River and Africa. Make sure to follow our Facebook page and stay in touch with our travel adventures!

We absolutely love getting photos and emails from our clients about the trips we helped plan for them. Of course, we also love when you post positive reviews on Yelp, Google or our Facebook page but our favorites are usually the emails and phone calls that we get from our clients after a fantastic trip.

SECRET TRAVEL SOCIETY

Anywhere But Here Travel just launched a new and exciting program where you can add more fun into your life. We have found that successful business owners like ourselves have a hard time planning fun things to do in their life. We get in a rut and do the same old things or we just stay at home and watch Netflix. We created the Secret Travel Society which will have PLANNED FUN events that you can participate in as often as you like. We will have exciting local events here in the Seattle area and also short weekend trips as well. Eventually, we will offer the group exclusive trips like to Italy, Mexico or a river cruise. Would you like to join other like-minded travelers and find out what the secret is all about?

We just launched our website so please sign up for a Guest Membership if you aren’t ready for the full secret. However, if you want access to our full event calendar and other member only perks and discounts… we only have 3 spots left open for our VIP Charter Membership which is $14.99/month. This is a super low, introductory price as we are relying on our VIP Charter Members feedback to help us create the right kind of events. After we fill our VIP Charter Member Memberships, the price is going up to $24.99/month. We also offer a discount if two members from the same household want to join at the same time.

WOODINVILLE WINE TASTING EXPERIENCE

Come join the SECRET TRAVEL SOCIETY on this fun Woodinville Wine Tasting Experience! We have luxury transportation, a professional driver, a professional wine expert to guide us through the tastings, plus all taxes, gratuities, and wine tasting fees to 4 different wineries.

NEW! We moved the date due to lack of RSVPs so it is now going to be on Sat Nov 18th. Also, brunch is now sponsored by Journese for the first 6 people who register. Andrea and Monica don’t count in the free brunch count so we still have 5 open free brunch spots!

REAL ID QUESTIONS

Did you see a bunch of posts on Facebook last month about the REAL ID act and Washington State? Well, it turns out that our deadline for being REAL ID compliant was Oct 10, 2017 so it triggered a bunch of posts and confusing news articles about what was going on.

What is REAL ID? It is a new protocol that was implemented after 9//11 that requires state identifications to be more secure. There are many states that have already become REAL ID compliant but Washington State (and 16 others) is not one of them.

The good news is that our deadline has been extended to October 10, 2018. However, it is important for everyone to know what forms of identification will be valid at the airport. After this date, your standard WA State ID will no longer be valid — even for domestic flights! You will need at least two forms of valid identification if you continue to use the standard WA State ID.

It is your responsibility to provide the necessary documentation for travel. As your travel agency, we recommend that you either purchase a Washington State Enhanced Driver’s Licence (if you are only traveling domestically) or a Passport Book (not a card) if you are traveling internationally.
