How a Trip to Costa Rica Changed My Client’s Life
As a person, I am all about finding “my passion”, living it, and discovering what really makes me happy. How do we define happiness? Is it an overall state of mind? Is it experiential? As a travel agent, I believe in helping my clients achieve the same thing. Sometimes travel can have such an impact that it does just that…..
I recently sent a “twenty something” gal to Costa Rica. She has a very high stress, demanding job with long hours, and she was looking to get away for a few days to relax, surf, zip-line and whatever else you do when you’re that age. She needed to take a chunk of time for herself and just get away.
I thought about her while she was gone, wondering how her trip was going and if she had found that relaxation she was looking for.
Upon her return I received this email:
“Oh my goodness IT WAS AMAZING! I had the BEST time!
The whole thing was life changing. I’ve never felt more comfortable and at peace. The people there are absolutely fantastic!
The zip lining guys were SO FUNNY! It was just me and them, which was really cool. We were hanging out and messing around the whole time, and they took my IPod and were taking selfies with it. We just sat around talking and hanging out in trees.
The food was KILLER! I cooked raw meat on a slab of volcanic rock & found my new favorite food, which I’m still trying to master how to cook now that I’m home.
I’m so grateful for you and your help in getting me down there to experience this. Traveling alone was the best decision I ever made and all your help perfected it.

Getting that email made my day and reminded me exactly why I do what I do. Life is short and if you can experience something that will forever change you, then that is a pretty cool thing.
